A CHEMICALS firm has been fined £24,000 after an ammonia leak at its factory in Hull.

Up to 300kg of the potentially harmful gas was released into the atmosphere when a series of valves were accidentally left open on a reactor at Croda's Oak Road plant, in north Hull.
